Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, faces challenges typical for many post-Soviet cities undergoing post-socialist and post-industrial transformation. These include institutional weaknesses, population decline, outdated infrastructure, and deindustrialization.
Within the project, international case studies from cities facing similar conditions — such as Sofia, Bucharest, Kyiv, Belgrade, Tbilisi, and Sarajevo — were analyzed. Based on this comparative analysis, spatial and social development strategies for Chisinau were proposed.

My Role:
• Collection and analysis of data on social infrastructure in Chisinau and other Southeastern European capitals
• Identification of best-practice projects and development models applicable to the local context
• Cartographic work and spatial visualization
