Sustainable development has become a key priority for cities worldwide. As part of this research, a comparative assessment of 15 global megacities was conducted, focusing on the level of implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in urban policy.

Cities included London, Berlin, Chicago, New York, Sydney, Singapore, Moscow, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai, Mexico City, Beijing, São Paulo, and Seoul. Based on the resulting ranking and a catalogue of best practices, a set of policy recommendations for megacities was developed.
